Advances in Medicine, Surgery, General Practice/Family Medicine in the New World.
Reforms and changes have been occurring in medicine, surgery, general practice/family medicine and primary care globally in the past decades. Doctors, Surgeons and General Practitioners/Family Physicians are now being called upon to undertake teaching and research, as well managing their clinical care. Patients are becoming more informed about their health, and they are using this to question doctors in the community. In addition there has been an increase in expectations of society in general in the way their care should be delivered in the 21st century, especially with the increase use and reliant on new technology. Therefore there is now more need for clinicians to be involved in educational activities in order to broaden their knowledge in meeting the challenges they face in the changing World.
The topics to be covered during the conference include advances in medical education and research approaches, Stem cell techniques, evidence-based practice, quality of patient care, general internal medicine, medical emergencies in general practice, primary care issues, epidemiology and public health matters, paediatrics and child health issues, cardiovascular diseases, diabetic care advances, progress in respiratory diseases, medical ethics and legal issues in healthcare, medical education, medical informatics, emerging foodborne disease, infectious diseases and global diseases epidemics, tropical diseases, evidence-based medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, mental health issues, co-morbidities, managing chronic diseases in the community and many more.
The format of the conference includes key note speaking/lecture, presentations of research or projects carried by delegates from different parts of the World, workshops, and interactive sessions for all delegates to participate in, and learn together in an informal environment.
